You all probably remember me telling you about my secret granddaughter. They did this for a couple of years while I was in Springville. Marci was her name She and I became very close friends. She helped me pass many lonely nights. She would come and play and win at Racko. At first I let her then she would cheat a bit then she just flat won. Anyway we have kept in touch for all these years, maybe 12-14 years. She was just in her first year of Young Women I think.

But here is a couple pictures of her and me we took when she was here in town for a intervies her husband had for school. Her little girl, Amelia, is about the same age as Sadie and she was expecting again about the same time as Zackery (sp)..

Where should I start......What happened to the days when we made a call by lifting the phone and our friendly telephone operator (Catherine Phillips)said"number please".Then after that they put those silly dial things on them. Well o k they were alright. Then the cute slimline phone and a phone in the kitchen and bedroom room, Then the portable phone. I was doing o k till then. So many things to figure out...........but I mostly mastered that. Now for the big challenge, the cell phone. I had one for years and finaly learned how to make a couple of call, mostly couldn't even remember it's number! But not to be left behind----------------I now have this little thing. I can't even find it in my purse, I can't carry ir everywhere, like I see many people, kids do. I did manage to call someone one day. But now I can't remember how I did that. Is it hopeless for me???? Like I said before, not to be left behind--------------No more gadgets, let the world pass me by and thanks everyone who has helped me,(or who may still have to help me).We'll talk about the computer another day!!!

I was getting ready for the temple the other day and was wanting to get a certain session. So hurridly I took my shower and started getting dressed. Reached in the drawer and no.....you know what...One of those things we go without as often as we can.............Ladies don't tell me you don't go without once and a while......So when I started to look around I found one everywhere I stopped during the passed couple of weeks , sewing table, file cabinet by computer,crochet bucket by lecliner,and yes, kitchen table,

chair where I sit and read......go figure......

Whew! that only took 1 1/2 hours!!! Why is it so hard. Any way just a continuation of some of the really pretty flowers at this time of year.

The Desert shall blossom

I have been wanting to blog about the pretty flowers we have here in the vallely of the sun. And I mean HOT sun. You would think it would burn them up. But here are a few we (Bill and me) have seen on our little rides on the golf cart around the village.

Reading all the blogs this morning, I'm feeling like mine are so stupid, soooooo I have to get on the ball and make them interesting or just not do them. It is a mindboggling thing for me to figure this out every day, or when I do post. It looks so easy and I'm sure it is but I just haven't found the easy way yet. I'm always afraid I'll just shut everthing down.

I've been taking care of a friend's dogs this week. I go up in the morning and let them out of the bathroom that I put them in last night. They are kept then in the laundry room/back porch which is HOT. I'll be glad when she comes tomorrow night. I feel sorry for the dogs so I go up in the afternoon and just let them into the house where it is cool. Don't know how this will go over with her.

And no, I'm not going to write a book Becky.hahahaha

As long as we are talking birds??

I have some birds that are a bright green with a red face and crown. They come every morning to visit my little flower area. The problem is that I have screens on my windows so you can't see them very well. If I go out they fly away. So see if you can see them in the pots and up on the metalwork of the little bike.
