Day at the Spa

I knew something was up when I saw the camera come out.
Lately I've been under the weather.....Allergies.....Drat. The vet gave me a shot and it did a job on me. I just laid around for a couple of days.
But now I'm feeling better so we are off to the spa.....


It's a long ways out there. Apache Juction

We go through some dips. (Can't find that picture)

Melanie is my hair dresser. I love her. She has horses and they are real beautiful horses. Melanie's hubby is a horseshoer...Or is it horse shoer? He has a traveling trailer.

Anyway Melanie is about 80 lbs. Never wears shoes around the place there. Rocks and all.



There is a church under construction along the way./.......Yawn.....

She lives in a real nice trailer with a great view but she does the dog thing out here in a little trailer she has fixed up for us dogs. Her place is called "Melanies Place....


When I"m all done we take the same trip back home where it takes less that an hour for me to get the ribbons out...

WAH LAH!!!

Bag is finished.

A bit smaller than my old one.

But nice enough!!!

No Dessert!

Don't we all have the same rules? No dessert till you eat your food........ (well most of it)

So one day I thought I had already given out the treasured dessert or TREAT. And upon closer examination I noticed a bit of food sticking out from under the dish......

Little closer yet..I began to examine to food situation...

I think she has me fooled.


But what can I say when she starts her little drama of dancing on her front feet, making all kinds of yips, arfs, snuffles,,,,etc.

What bugs me real bad is she stares me down. Looking right in my eyes, never flinching or blinking, whining......



So she gets the treasured TREAT.

She doesn't fool me?????

IT'S A WRAP?????

You may(or may not) remember a while ago I took a class on this wrapping and actually have made several baskets. Mostlly Christmas colors.

So I had this GREAT (?) idea that I would like to make a larger one for my church stuff.... So got the rope. It will take probably 2 packages 100 ft. packages..........yawn

You cut your strips in 1/2 inch widths

And begin to wrap.............yawn....

After wrapping for about 2 1/2 hrs. This is my progress..............yawn......pretty discouraging.....

This is sort of what I am looking for. Who knows what I'll get...

Day out for the Old Ladies....boring....yawnnn

I called my friend this morning to see if she would like to go down and catch the Metro and go down town. She said yes so we went down to Sycamore to catch the light rail.

We fearlessly approached the darn ticket
thingeys and soon found we were not the only ones having trouble getting our tickets.

The sun was shining right on the screen so it was hard for us newbys to know what to do.

We got our tickets finally and got ready to board.

We heard the two minute warning.

It was pretty empty to begin with and we got a good seat in a nice cooled atmosphere!

It wasn't too long till the car began filling up. By the time we got over by the college we had a pretty good load, many getting off there.

After we got down there,,,,,,3rd st..... we got off and wandered around and into this little hole in the wall. It said it had salads so that's something we like. No one was in there. This made me a bit nervous.

But we ordered and like I said we were the only ones in there and they gave me #39???? go figure

We had a nice salad....It was good, I was hungry.

We walked across to the Airways center and down to catch the train back. Nice morning.

Project Monday!!!

We will continue on with the story of the cupboard handles we got the other day at Al's ( everything store)

With all the the latest technology( shim and magic marker) we began

Marking, smiling, talking, smiling......




WAIT DOUG.....HIGHER DOUG....STRAIGHTEN THAT UP....HIGHER....STRAIGHTER... DON'T SLANT THAT!!!!

Later on a good movie"Get Low" with Robert Duvall, then hamburgers and fries at "Five Guys"( is that right)

Some good ole homemade ice cream and a game of sequence, The day came to a good close......





And not to be forgotten, good ole Billie got to ride on the golf cart!

In jolly old England they call them the"Loo"

This is usually a place you can go and THINK you will have privacy and some time to think or just day dream...

I always have company one place or another.

Lurking outside on the bed.






Or inside on the rug (with toy)
